U.S. Ambassador Atul Keshap and a U.S. Embassy team recently visited the Hambantota region to meet local officials and business executives. During the June 20-21 visit, Ambassador Keshap spoke with leaders from the Hambantota Chamber of Commerce, which was initially established with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). He also received tours of the Port of Hambantota, Magam Ruhunupura International Convention Center, and the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport. Ambassador Keshap also participated in the evening Pooja at the Ruhunu Maha Kataragama Devalaya.
