Event: Today (Wednesday, February 16) there will be a parade for the annual Gangaramaya Navam Maha Perahera in the area around Hunupitiya Gangaramaya Temple and Seema Malakaya Buddhist Temple and the lake. All roads directly surrounding the lake will have limited access or be closed beginning at 7:00 PM today (February 15) until 12 AM midnight and tomorrow (February 16) starting at 5:00 PM until approximately 8:30 PM for the main parade. The procession will commence from Gangaramaya Temple. Sri Uttarananda Mawatha, Alwis Place, and Sir James Peiris Mawatha are closed from Navam Mawatha to Colombo Road. Muttiah Road, Sri Jinarathana Road, and WAD Ramanayake Mawatha are closed from Sir James Peiris Mawatha to Park Street.
