Message for U.S. Citizens: Road Closures around the U.S. Embassy in Colombo for Sri Lankan Independence Day Festivities (January 31, 2023)

Location:  Colombo, Sri Lanka

Event:  Due to the Sri Lankan Independence Day preparations and festivities, road closures will be in effect around the U.S. Embassy in Colombo from February 1-3 between 6 AM and 12 PM (rehearsals) and on February 4 from 4 AM to 12 PM (parade).  These closures will impact Marine Drive (along the ocean) and Galle Road between Kollupitya Junction and Kingsbury Hotel Junction.  The U.S. Embassy will be open for regular Consular business on February 1-2 but will be closed on February 3 in observance of the holiday.
